The LG V40 is a premium smartphone which has clearly  got all the features one would want. It has got an excellent pair of cameras, strong configuration, along with an amazing storage capacity. The only thing that might work against the device is its price tag.Thus, if you are looking for a premium smartphone and have the budget for it then you can for this device.

The LG V40 flaunts a 6.3-inch P-OLED display with a screen resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels accompanied with best in class pixel density of 522 PPI, invariably translating to an amazing display. It comes with a Corning Gorilla Glass v5 screen protection.

When it comes to performance, the LG V40 is powered by two Kryo 385 quad-core processor having 2.8GHz and 1.8GHz clock speed, which comes seated upon a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset. The presence of a 4GB RAM helps immensely during multitasking. The Adreno 630 graphics processor handles the graphical requirements of the device. The device runs on Android v8.1 (Oreo) operating system with a 64-bit architecture.

Coming to the battery, the device comes with a 3,500mAh Li-ion battery which provides a below-par battery backup. The battery aspect is assisted with features like wireless charging and quick charging that makes up for the underpowered battery. The LG V40 gets an internal storage capacity of 64GB which can be further expanded upto a massive 2TB using a memory card.

The standard connectivity options supported by the LG V40 are- Wi-Fi, Mobile hotspot, Bluetooth v5.0, GPS, and NFC. The most striking feature of the device is its camera setup.     To root your phone manually, you need to turn on USB Debugging. 


    1. Go to Setting, Find kernel version in About.
    2. Tap it seven times, at which point you should see the message, "You are now a developer!" With that done, tap Settings, About Phone, Developer Options, and then tick USB debugging." Then tap OK to approve the setting change. 
    3. Now turn it ON  in fastboot mode and unlock the bootloader.
    4. Install a recovery to help you with flashing.
    5. Flash a supporting custom ROM and gapps.

    1. Turn off the phone and then press and hold the Volume Up key and Power key simultaneously until the Android system recovery screen appears. 
    2. Use the Volume Down key to highlight the wipe data/factory reset option and then use the Power button to make the selection.

    1.Go to Settings, Personal, Backup and reset, and select both Backup my data and Automatic restore.

    2.Go to Settings, Personal, Accounts & Sync, and select your Google account.

    3.Select all of the option boxes listed, to ensure that all available data is synced.

    To cast your phone screen on your TV you need to have Chromecast.Follow the steps to successfully cast your screen-

    Before you begin casting

    1. Connect your phone to a Wi-Fi network.

    2. The mobile device, tablet or computer you are using to cast must be on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast .

    3. You must be running the latest version of the Chromecast-enabled app. You can always double check that you are on the latest version by visiting the Google Play Store.



    Cast from Chromecast-enabled apps to your TV

    1. Make sure that the phone  you are using to cast is on the same Wi-Fi network as your Chromecast or TV with Chromecast built-in. 

    Open a Chromecast-enabled app.

    2. Tap the Cast button Inactive cast extension. Note: The Cast button isn't located in the same place on all Chromecast-enabled apps.

    3. Tap the device you'd like to cast to.


    4. When you're connected, the Cast button will turn color, letting    you know you're connected.

    5. Select the app like Youtube, Broswer,Google Music etc

    You can now cast videos, movies and TV shows directly to your TV.

    To stop casting, tap the Cast button and then Disconnect.
