Acer has climbed to the No. 2 spot in India’s traditional PC market for Q1 2026, taking a 21.3 percent share of overall shipments, according to IDC’s latest India Quarterly Personal Computing Device Tracker. Acer leads education and government PC segments

The brand says it led the education and government segments in desktops, notebooks and workstations, with particularly dominant shares in education desktops and notebooks on the back of large deployments in schools and institutions. It also reports strong positions in government desktops and notebooks, underlining its growing role in public sector projects.

President and Managing Director Harish Kohli called the result a “proud milestone” for Acer India, tying the performance to a focus on innovation, customer experience and AI‑ready PCs. Acer says it plans to keep investing in new product launches, omnichannel retail and next‑generation technologies to maintain its growth in the coming quarters.
