A game show that blends learning with fun
Unlike traditional quiz shows, HP Smart Champs focuses on a mix of puzzles, logic-based challenges, and teamwork-driven tasks. The idea is to move beyond rote learning and encourage curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking among students.
A key highlight of the show is the use of HP Smart Tank printers, which power many of the challenges through printed worksheets, clues, and problem-solving activities. By combining print with interactive formats, HP aims to create a more hands-on learning experience for participants.
Prizes, participation, and nationwide reach
The competition offers attractive rewards, with winners taking home a cash prize of Rs. 10 lakh, while runners-up will receive Rs. 5 lakh. In addition, winning participants will be awarded HP AI laptops, Smart Tank printers, and HyperX accessories for educational use.
HP is also extending the impact beyond individual winners. The winning school will receive an HP Smart Tech Lab, reinforcing the company’s focus on building better learning infrastructure.
The journey to the main show involved large-scale participation across the country. HP conducted school-level engagements across 26 cities, with over 1,000 schools taking part. After multiple rounds, 34 finalists were selected to compete in the final studio-based episodes in Mumbai.
Why HP is focusing on this initiative
With Smart Champs, HP is clearly positioning itself not just as a hardware brand, but as a facilitator of modern learning. The company believes that tools like print, when combined with interactive formats, can play a key role in helping students develop a deeper understanding and practical skills.
The collaboration with JioStar also ensures a wider reach, with the show available across both television and streaming platforms. This multi-platform approach is expected to help HP connect with a broader audience while promoting the importance of curiosity-led learning.
The bigger picture
HP Smart Champs feels like a natural extension of the growing trend of blending education with entertainment. By combining competitive elements with hands-on problem solving, the show aims to make learning more engaging for younger audiences.
With strong distribution through JioHotstar and Nick, along with a format that mixes quizzes, puzzles, and real-world tasks, HP is betting on Smart Champs to become a nationwide platform that celebrates young talent while redefining how learning is perceived.
