Rotten TomatoesChhichhore is a Hindi comedy drama film that revolves around Anirudh and his college friends, who reunite years later after a tragedy strikes him. The film takes us on a nostalgic trip to their college days, where they learn to deal with the pressures of life and the fear of failure and use the lessons in the current day. Furthermore, performances by the cast including Sushant Singh Rajput, Shraddha Kapoor, Varun Sharma, and Tahir Raj Bhasin are strong and resonate with you. The film works because of its writing and the smooth manner in which the script flows to present an endearing climax. The best part about it is that the plot never gets too preachy. Overall, Chhichhore is a well-crafted film that strikes an emotional chord with its audience. It is a must-watch for anyone who has ever felt the pressure of failure and the value of true friendship.

Tahir Raj Basin, a non smoker, had to play a smoker in the film. The production used cigarettes with basil leaves and green tea to solve this problem.
Tahir Raj Bhasin's character was written as a star athlete. Accordingly, he had to train in various sports such as football, volleyball and kabaddi for about 4-5 hours a day with national coaches. He also underwent a month long training in building up his physical prowess although his biggest challenge was to compete with national runners.
The film's college section is reportedly inspired from Hostel 3's and Hostel 4's real life rivalry for the GC in IIT Bombay. Nitesh Tiwari was himself a resident of H4 during the 90s and this story line was loosely based on his time spent in the institute.
Aamir Khan launched the film's trailer.
This was the 11th highest grossing Bollywood movie of 2019 as well as the highest grossing movie of Sushant Singh Rajput.
