The film depicts the famous and much-appreciated concept of the multiverse. The story is well-written and well-executed and is brilliantly clever at some points. There are also emotional and humorous elements that are incredibly entertaining, and the film is a complete package. The choice of actors is well-suited, and the acting is commendable. The concept and creativity deserve all the appreciation they can get. The effects of the film are also captivating and intriguing. Many emotions, such as anger, joy, laughter, etc., are experienced; hence, the film's title does justice to its content. The costumes, lighting, special effects, sound design, etc., were also up to the mark and were flawlessly executed. There is no dull moment in the film, and the storyline can grab the audience's attention consistently at all times, thus making it a movie worth watching.

All the VFX for this film was done by 9 people, including the two directors, with the majority of the shots being done by a core group of 5 people. None of the VFX team went to school for VFX. They were all friends who taught themselves with tutorials they found online for free.

To keep plot details under wraps before the trailer was released, the official IMDb synopsis read "a woman tries to do her taxes."

Ke Huy Quan's first major role in 20 years.

Language is very important to the story. Evelyn speaks to her father in Cantonese, but she speaks to Waymond in Mandarin, showing cultural differences in their upbringing. Mother-Daughter relationship is also language shaped. Evelyn speaks to Joy in Mandarin and English, while Joy answers back in English and bad Chinese. Neither one find the words to express their ideas clearly to the other, keeping them divided. Even the language barrier with the Internal Revenue Service makes everything harder.

In an unusual move, the majority of the film's scenes were shot at a high frame rate. This was done to give the editors the flexibility to put different parts into slow motion that weren't originally planned to be.
