TRIVIA AND POPULAR DIALOGUES

Trivia

The last shot of the film is on the airport of the arriving crowd. In the shot a man with a big beard is seen sleeping, holding a board in his hand saying "Mr. Godot". This is a reference to Samuel Beckett's famous play "Waiting For Godot" in which "Godot" never arrives.

Jai's parents, played by Ratna Pathak Shah and Naseeruddin Shah are a real life couple. Their real life knick-knacks are shown in the movie too.

Director Abbas and actress Punarnava fell in love on the sets of this movie and later got married.

One of the college nerdy friends named Nilesh was played by Shakun Batra who later went on to direct Ekk main aur Ekk tu and Kapoor and Sons.

In the song "Pappu Can't Dance Saala" a line says "Papa kehte hai bada naam karega". "'Papa Kehte Hai" was a song in 'Imran Khan''s uncle Aamir Khan's debut film Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988). Also, just as Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak (1988) was produced by Aamir Khan's uncle Nasir Hussain, this film, which is Imran Khan's debut film, is produced by his uncles Mansoor Khan and Aamir Khan.
