Story

The movie is loosely based on Robert Zemeckis's 1984 action adventure - romantic comedy "Romancing the stone" starring Michael Douglas.

Sridevi wears a single dress from beginning to end.

The first collaboration between Ram Gopal Varma and S. Bhattacharya. This is also Bhattacharya's debut South Indian film.

This movie would be followed several successful collaborations between RGV and S. Bhattacharya including Gaayam (1993) and Satya (1998). Bhattacharya also did the background scores for his film Rangeela (1995).

The dubbed Hindi version did not have a theatrical release in British Columbia,Canada.
