Lal Baadshah is a 1999 Bollywood film directed by K.C. Bokadia and starring Amitabh Bachchan in a dual role, Raghuvaran, Manisha Koirala, Shilpa Shetty and Amrish Puri. Nirupa Roy also appears in her last film playing Bachchan's foster mother. This was Bachchan's third film since his comeback after a five-year hiatus; it failed at the box office but hit in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar.

Manisha Koirala only committed to this project because she got an opportunity to work with the superstar Amitabh Bachchan.
'Sunil Shetty' was part of the project and had done some shooting for the film before he dropped out. Mukul Dev was also approached for the same role.
The film released about a year later then its actually intended release date, due to financial issues K.C. Bokadia faced.
This was the final movie of Nirupa Roy who played Amitabh Bachchan's mother in films in the 70s and 80s.
Raveena Tandon was first approached for Shilpa Shetty's role.
