Laurence Fishburne is playing Harold Christian who was a local celebrity for his Abilene restaurant Harold's BBQ. He would sing soul and gospel music randomly in his restaurant, there are still videos on YouTube.
Milo Gibson is playing Chad Mitchell who is a writer/creator of this story.
Acoryé White plays Herschel Sims who was highly recruited out of high school, ranked as 4th best RB in the country. Sims played with Oklahoma State and then Abilene Christian.
Chad Mitchell is played by Milo Gibson who is the son of actor Mel Gibson.
Based on the 2009 Abilene High (TX) football team.
