Here’s how it works

  • 7 Ring uses NFC technology and has the same security standards as international payment methods.
  • You need an app to set up the ring and load money onto it, but it is not needed for payments.
  • After initial verification, you can set up a prepaid wallet with a Rs 10,000 monthly transaction limit.
  • You can increase the limit to Rs 2,00,000 after a video KYC verification process.
  • The app lets you check transactions, set spending limits, and block a lost ring.
  • To make a payment, you make a fist and bring the ring close to a payment machine; it won’t work if your fingers are open to prevent fraud.
  • The payment machine powers the ring, so there is no need to worry about charging it, and it doesn’t use Bluetooth.
  • It only works for payments in India using UPI and doesn’t support online payments or payments outside India.
