Alleged Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra unit leaked in live images
If the leaked images are anything to go by, Samsung has finally let go of curved displays with a major change in its next year’s slab flagship. The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra seems to feature a straight, right-angled frame with curved sides alongside a flat front glass which confirms previous rumours. It is also expected that this frame will be made of Titanium.
While there is no way to confirm the authenticity of these images, there do not seem to be obvious signs of Photoshop and the device marker that Samsung uses to protect its test devices has also been hidden which indicates it could be the real thing.
Apple also uses Titanium for the frame of its new iPhone 15 Pro series which allows for a lighter bodyweight and increased strength. Xiaomi followed suit with its Xiaomi 14 Pro special edition in China. It seems like Samsung will also introduce a muted shade of silver-ish grey to complement the use of this material.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra is expected to be released on January 17th, 2024. This is a little earlier than the Galaxy S23 series as the brand plans to show a better performance in the first quarter of the year to its investors. Further, it is expected to be the only model in the next year’s series to feature a Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in all regions and an improved 5X periscope camera to replace the 10X one.
