Expert Verdict: The Redmi Smart Fire TV (review) is a value-for-money proposition in more ways than one. Of course, expectations must be tempered when talking about a smart TV that is priced as low as Rs 11,499. Even so, you are getting the best features possible in the segment, including a decent UI, good speakers, and dual-channel Wi-Fi connectivity. Performance can feel a bit slow when switching between apps, but that is one of the compromises one has to make at this price point. The Redmi Fire TV gets my recommendation as a serious contender in the budget smart TV space.

Apart from that, the setup process and build quality of the device are quite good. The few areas of improvement revolve around the interface, which can lag at times, but apart from that, you would be hard-pressed to find a better alternative.
