Canon EOS-1D Mark III professional DSLR camera, which was announced earlier this month at CES 2020, has been launched in India. The DSLR features a 20.1-megapixel sensor and a new Digic X image processor, along with a new High Detail Low-Pass filter. The sensor supports Dual-Pixel autofocus and has 3,869 selectable AF positions and 525 automatic areas in live view shooting. It has a continuous shooting speed of up to 20fps in live view and up to 16fps with viewfinder shooting. The Dual Pixel CMOS AF enables smooth continuous autofocus and subject tracking during live view.
Furthermore, the new Digic X processor allows for the native ISO range of 100-102,400 that can be expanded up to 50-819,200. The DSLR can shoot over 1,000 images in burst mode with dual CFexpress card slots. The camera can record 5.5K videos at 60fps with 12-bit RAW output and uncropped 4K 60fps in 10-bit 4:2:2 C-Log. Digic X offers 380X computing processing performance and 3.1X image processing power compared to its predecessor. The camera feature a 10-bit colour depth for compressed images in the HEIF format. The camera measures 158 x 167.6 x 82.6mm and weighs around 1.2 kgs.
Connectivity features include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, GPS, and an Ethernet port. It has a 3.2-inch TFT display with approx 2.1 million dots and 38 custom functions. The Canon EOS-1D X Mark III DSLR camera is priced at Rs 5,75,995 for the body, 512GB CF Express Card, and Reader. It will be available mid-February at select retail outlets across the country.
