LG has kicked off CES 2026 with the launch of its new OLED evo lineup, and the highlight of the show is the LG OLED evo W6, also known as the company’s True Wireless Wallpaper TV. The W6 brings back LG’s iconic Wallpaper TV concept, which was first introduced in 2017, but this time it is paired with a fully wireless setup and a brand-new picture engine that LG says is its biggest OLED upgrade in years. With this launch, LG also said that it’s celebrating 13 years as the ‘world’s leading OLED TV brand’.
The LG Wallpaper TV is designed to disappear into your living room. It measures only 9mm thin, and sits completely flush against the wall thanks to a redesigned mount and heavily miniaturised internal components. Unlike most TVs that still protrude slightly, this one is meant to look like a part of the wall itself, which reminds us of Samsung’s The Frame, but taken in a much more premium direction.
What makes this possible is LG’s True Wireless technology. Instead of plugging your HDMI cables into the TV, all inputs go into a separate Zero Connect Box, which can be placed up to 10 metres away. The TV then receives 4K video and audio wirelessly, which LG says doesn’t have any visible loss in quality. The result is a super-clean setup with no dangling cables, something Samsung’s Frame cannot currently offer in this form.
LG has also introduced ‘Hyper Radiant Color Technology’, which is said to improve brightness, colours and black levels while reducing screen reflections. The company claims the W6 is its brightest OLED ever, delivering up to 3.9 times more brightness than standard OLED TVs.
The screen is engineered to reflect less light than any LG TV so far and has received a special “Reflection Free with Premium” certification. This means you can watch comfortably even in brightly lit rooms, an area where OLED TVs have traditionally struggled compared to QLED models.
Powering the LG Wallpaper TV is the new Alpha 11 AI Processor Gen3, which is said to be far more powerful than before. It uses two AI systems at the same time, one to clean up noise and another to keep textures looking natural, so the picture stays sharp without looking artificial.
LG is also leaning heavily into the lifestyle angle with LG Gallery+, a service that lets the TV double as a digital art frame. Users can display thousands of artworks, personal photos or even AI-generated images, complete with background music to match the mood. This is LG’s answer to Samsung’s Frame ecosystem, but with more emphasis on visual quality and OLED contrast.
The LG Wallpaper TV and other 2026 OLED evo models support 4K at 165Hz, along with NVIDIA G-SYNC, AMD FreeSync Premium and a 0.1ms response time, making them some of the fastest TVs in the market, and suitable for gamers.
LG’s webOS platform also gets smarter with features like Voice ID, which recognises who is speaking and loads a personalised home screen instantly. The TV also supports both Google Gemini and Microsoft Copilot for voice queries, while a new “In This Scene” feature can show cast details or even generate AI images related to what you’re watching. The new OLED TV is also protected by LG Shield, a new security system that recently won a CES 2026 Innovation Award.
The LG OLED evo W6 will be an ultra-premium product, likely priced far above mainstream OLEDs and Samsung’s Frame. But if you want a TV that looks like art, offers real wireless freedom, delivers top-tier OLED picture quality and is built for next-gen gaming, this could be one of the most exciting TVs of 2026. For most buyers, though, LG’s broader 2026 OLED evo range will make more sense, especially if you love OLED but don’t need the extreme thinness or wireless setup of the W6. LG hasn’t confirmed yet if the OLED evo W6 will arrive in India, but if it does, then expect high prices.
