Dell holds the second-highest ownership share

- As per the survey report, HP accounts for the highest laptop ownership share at 23.3 percent, followed by Dell at 17.9 percent.
- Despite a decrease in market share from last year’s laptop survey report, Dell continues to cater to a large user base.
- Trailing behind HP and Dell are ASUS and Lenovo with a share of 16.7 percent and 15.4 percent respectively.
Dell is one of the most preferred laptop brands

- Dell is the fourth most preferred laptop brand among the survey participants, meaning people are more likely to buy a machine from Dell than even Apple, which could be due to the brand’s reliable hardware and after-sales service.
- Although HP takes the overall lead in this department, Apple sits below Dell in terms of brand preference with a share of 11.7 percent.
Dell is among the top two brands for high brand loyalty

- With a percentage share of 65.5 percent, Dell has the second-highest brand loyalty for its laptops.
- It appears that existing Dell users are satisfied with their purchase and have a high brand loyalty to the point that they’re willing to stick with the brand for their next laptop.
- Ranking right above Dell is Apple, with a preference rate of 68.2 percent among the survey participants.
HP and Lenovo users are highly likely to switch to Dell laptops

- Upon analysing the survey report, it can be seen that 17 percent of HP laptop owners are willing to shift to Dell for their next laptop purchase.
- Then, there are 11.6 percent of Lenovo laptop users among the survey respondents who could jump ship to Dell when they buy a new laptop.
- 7.3 percent of Apple MacBook owners are also willing to shift to Dell.
