Flipkart today announced an upgraded version of its loyalty programme, Flipkart Plus. There’s now a Flipkart Plus Premium membership along with the regular Flipkart Plus. With the upgraded version, customers who shop on Flipkart will get access to exclusive deals on top branded products, and more ways to earn SuperCoins that can be redeemed later.
Flipkart Plus Premium membership: all details
The new Flipkart Plus Premium membership is applicable to customers with over eight transactions in 12 months. The eligibility criteria for Flipkart Plus stays the same, which is more than four transactions in 12 months. Flipkart Plus and Premium members get access to incentives on over 2 crore products, and welcome benefits such as 300 SuperCoins.
Flipkart Plus Premium members will also have access to exclusive deals on top branded products, and you can earn four percent SuperCoins (up to 300) on transactions from your purchases. You can then redeem these SuperCoins on other platforms such as Myntra, Cleartrip, Flipkart HealthPlus, and Shopsy. There are hourly and daily member deals where products will be available with discounts. With this membership, you also get early access to sales on Flipkart.
In comparison, Flipkart Plus members can earn two percent SuperCoins per transactions. For those unaware, SuperCoins can be used to make purchases, and you can also use them to avail discounts on the e-commerce platform. You also get early access to Flipkart sale but the hourly and daily deals are exclusive to Premium Plus members.
As mentioned above, there are eligibility criteria to join Flipkart Plus and Premium memberships. But there’s no membership fee required as it depends on the number of your transactions. Once you completed the required number of transactions, you will be automatically become a Flipkart Plus member, and upgraded to Premium as well.
Flipkart says that its loyalty programme drives over 40 percent transactions on the e-commerce platform. It also witnesses a significant spike during The Big Billion Days.
