Google is expected to unveil the Pixel Watch 5 alongside the Pixel 11 series at its Made by Google event on August 12th, and a fresh leak has now revealed the smartwatch’s expected pricing, sizes, and colour options. If the report is correct, the Pixel Watch 5 could become the company’s most expensive smartwatch yet, marking the first series-wide price hike since the original Pixel Watch debuted in 2022. The upcoming wearable is expected to retain the familiar design while introducing new finishes and potentially upgraded internals.
Launch timeline and pricing
The Watch is set to debut at the Made by Google event reportedly on August 12th. According to a report by Dealabs and tipster Billbil-kun, the Pixel Watch 5 will be available in 41 mm and 45 mm sizes, with both Wi-Fi and LTE variants. The 41mm Wi-Fi model is tipped to start at EUR 419 (USD 399 or Rs 45,600), while the LTE version could cost EUR 519 (USD 499 or Rs 56,500). Meanwhile, the larger 45 mm model is expected to start at EUR 449 (USD 429 or Rs 48,900) for the Wi-Fi variant, with the LTE model reportedly priced at EUR 549 (USD 529 or Rs 57,600).

If these prices are accurate, the entire lineup would see a EUR 20 increase over the Pixel Watch 4 in Europe, representing the first across-the-board price increase for Google’s smartwatch lineup. While Google hasn’t confirmed the reason, higher component costs and newer wearable chipsets could be contributing factors.
For context, the Pixel Watch 4 launched in India in August 2025, starting at Rs 39,900 for the 41 mm model and Rs 43,900 for the 45 mm variant. Google is yet to announce whether the Pixel Watch 5 will launch in India.
Leaked specifications and features
Recent certification listings suggest the Pixel Watch 5 will support LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, NFC, and ultra-wideband (UWB) connectivity, similar to its predecessor. Although Google has yet to confirm the hardware, the smartwatch is widely expected to feature Qualcomm’s next-generation Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset. So far, however, there have been no credible leaks pointing to major design or hardware upgrades beyond the processor.
Support for ultra-wideband (UWB) could enable more precise device tracking and improve features like finding compatible Pixel devices, while the rumoured Snapdragon Wear Elite chipset may deliver smoother app performance, faster AI-powered experiences, and better battery efficiency. These upgrades could appeal to Pixel smartphone users and early adopters looking for tighter ecosystem integration, even if the watch’s design remains largely unchanged. However, the reported price hike may make budget-conscious buyers think twice, especially if Google doesn’t introduce major visible hardware upgrades.
Interestingly, what appears to be a Pixel Watch 5 prototype was recently discovered underwater near the Caribbean island of St. Martin. Photos shared online showed the watch still displaying the correct time in low-power mode despite reportedly being recovered from the ocean, while also revealing a design nearly identical to the current Pixel Watch generation.
Colours and finishes
The Pixel Watch 5 is expected to be available in four case finishes for the 41 mm model: Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, Pyrite, and Warm Gold. The Dark Anthracite and Pyrite variants are said to feature satin finishes, while the Natural Silver and Warm Gold options will reportedly use polished metal.
The larger 45 mm model is tipped to arrive in Dark Anthracite, Natural Silver, and Pyrite. While the overall number of colour options may be slightly lower than the Pixel Watch 4, the new Pyrite finish is expected to become the signature colour across both sizes. Buyers looking for a Wear OS smartwatch may want to wait until Google’s August 12th launch, especially since the rumoured price increase will likely make the Pixel Watch 5 compete more directly with premium offerings from Samsung and Apple.
