It was recently reported that Honor could return to the Indian smartphone market with former Realme India CEO Madhav Sheth at the helm. While Sheth hasn’t officially announced he has joined Honor, a trademark called “Honor for Knights” was spotted recently with Sheth’s name mentioned. The trademark’s product description includes mobile phones and accessories, which fueled speculation about Honor’s comeback in India.

The well-known Chinese smartphone brand, which was also a sub-brand of Huawei back then, faced a major problem a few years ago when the US government blocked Huawei from using Google services. There were reports stating that Honor was leaving the Indian smartphone market, but the company denied it later on.

Even after those reports, Honor continued to launch new products in India until 2021, but they were mainly smartwatches and tablets like the Honor Watch ES and the Honor Pad 5. The last smartphone from Honor in India was the Honor 9A, a budget device priced below Rs 10,000.
