Activating a Jio eSIM on an Android mobile phone or iPhone is a simple procedure. All you have to do is send a text message from your registered mobile number with EID or IMEI details. Step 1: Open the messages app and create a new message with '199' as the recipient
Step 2: Now in the given text field, type "GETESIM<32-digit EID><15-digit IMEI>". You can find EID and IMEI numbers from the 'About Phone' section within 'Settings'
Step 3: Select 'Send' and within a few minutes, you'll receive a call from +91 2235072222 on your Jio number. Simply press '1' from the dial pad once the IVR asks for your consent
Step 4: After a couple of hours, an email and SMS will be sent to your Jio mobile number specifying that the eSIM activation has been initiated. Now go to 'Settings' and open the 'Network & Internet' menu
Step 5: From here, select 'Mobile network' or a similar option depending on your phone. Under this menu, select 'eSIM'
Step 6: Now tap on 'Next' on the 'Download your eSIM' page
Step 7: On the next screen, scan the QR code received on your registered email ID
Step 8: It'll prompt you to download eSIM. Tap on 'Download'
Step 9: Once the download is complete, go back and tap 'Activate' if it asks to enable Jio network
Once the process is done, the phone will connect to the mobile network and all the features such as 4G and 5G along with VoLTE will work as intended.
