The government aims to make DigiLocker services easily accessible, inclusive, transparent and simple.
"The Government has been working to promote "Ease of Living" through Digital India and the MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp is a major step to ensure governance and government services are at the fingertips of citizens," said the official press note.
With MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp, users will be able to get their documents such as Pan Card, Driving License, CBSE Class X passing certificate, vehicle registration certification, insurance policy, Two Wheeler, Class X and XII mark sheet, and Insurance Policy Document (Life and Non-life available on Digilocker).
Users can get government documents on WhatsApp. To get the details, they will just need to send 'Namaste' or ‘Hi' or ‘Digilocker' to the WhatsApp number +91 9013151515. Here's the process.
"With new additions like Digilocker, the MyGov chatbot on WhatsApp aims to build a comprehensive administrative support system for citizens to access resources and essential services that are digitally inclusive," said the press note.
MyGov Helpdesk on WhatsApp was first launched in March 2022 during the COVID-19 pandemic but at that time it was only limited to getting authentic sources of Covid-related information along with details on vaccine appointment bookings and vaccine certificate downloads.
The department claims that over 80 million people have reached out to the Digilocker helpdesk, over 33 million vaccine certificates have been downloaded and millions of vaccination appointments have been booked.
