Apple launches new iPad Air 13-inch, M4 iPad Pro, Pencil Pro, and more: India prices, specifications

2024 iPad Air, iPad Pro prices in India and availability

• The 11-inch iPad Air starts at Rs 59,900 for the base model with 128GB storage. It is available with up to 1TB storage which is priced at Rs 1,09,900. The 13-inch iPad Air starts at Rs 79,900 for the 128GB model. This one too is available with up to 1TB of storage priced at Rs 1,29,900.
• The new iPad Air models can be purchased in four colour options: New Blue, New Purple, Starlight, and Space Grey.
• The iPad Pro starts from Rs 99,900 for the 11-inch 256GB storage variant while the 13-inch 256GB storage model starts from Rs 1,29,900. The iPad Pro is also available in 512GB, 1GB, and 2TB versions, going all the way up to Rs 2,29,900.
• The new iPads can be ordered starting today, with deliveries expected from May 15th.
• The new Apple Pencil Pro is compatible with the 2024 iPad Pro and Air models. It is priced at Rs 11,900. The new Magic Keyboard is available in Black and White finishes and costs Rs 29,900 for the 11-inch model and Rs 33,900 for the 13-inch model.

2024 iPad Air specifications, features

• The 11-inch and 13-inch iPad Air 2024 share the same specifications starting with a Liquid Retina display. This is the first time Apple is introducing a 13-inch Air model.
• The new Air has a 12MP camera at the front and back. Apple has also moved the front camera to the landscape edge with Center Stage.
• Both iPads are powered by the M2 chipset, which Apple says is 50 percent faster than the previous Air with M1.
• The new iPad Air models also come with landscape stereo speakers and Spatial Audio. The 13-inch model offers double the bass.
• Both the iPad Air models work with the Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil with the Hover feature. It also has the Touch ID button embedded in the power button.

2024 iPad Pro specifications, features

• The new iPad Pro also comes in 11-inch and 13-inch models with Ultra Retina XDR displays, which includes what the company called Tandem OLED. The display has a 1,000 nits peak brightness and 1,600 nits HDR.
• Apple has also used nano-texture coating on the iPad Pro models for the first time giving them a matte display finish.
• The latest iPad Pro models are powered by the M4 chip, which is said to be 50 percent faster than the M2 chip.
• The Pro model will be available with up to 2TB of internal storage, 5G support, four-speaker audio, and a Thunderbolt / USB 4 port.

The new Apple Pencil Pro gets a new sensor in the barrel that can sense a user’s squeeze, bringing up a tool palette to quickly switch tools, line weights, and colours. Meanwhile, the all-new thinner and lighter Magic Keyboard comes with an aluminium palm rest and a larger trackpad that’s more responsive.
