Apple is set to launch its iPhone 15 lineup later this year, and the list of upgrades and new features is turning out to be an interesting one. Now, ahead of its launch, a report has teased what is claimed to be details on Apple’s 2024 range of iPhones — namely, the iPhone 16 Pro lineup. The report states that the iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max would feature an upgrade in terms of the display size of the phones — while the iPhone 16 Pro may come with a 6.3-inch display, the iPhone 16 Pro Max will feature an even larger 6.9-inch display.

What a larger display could mean on the iPhone 16 Pro

Word on the apparent new display size of the iPhone 16 Pro lineup comes to Macrumors through Ross Young, the cofounder and chief executive of Display Supply Chain Consultants, who has previously reported details on Apple’s upcoming display technologies accurately. According to Young, the exact display sizes will be marginally different from the 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch sizes that have been reported, and the exact two decimal places of the new displays on next year’s iPhones will be revealed at Display Week in Los Angeles on May 23rd.

However, it is pretty much certain that this year’s iPhone 15 lineup will not feature any changes to the display sizes. Young, via Macrumors, also did not mention if the new display sizes will be seen on next year’s iPhone 16 and 16 Plus, too. More details on the matter will likely surface as the months pass by.
