iPhone SE 4 to be based on iPhone 14; to also borrow hardware from iPhone 15
While there are no indications of an iPhone SE Plus model now, the standard iPhone SE might just be getting major upgrades and an all-new design. A report from reliable analyst Ming-Chi Kuo said that the new device will be borrowing its body from the iPhone 14 and that the phone would serve as a testing ground for Apple’s own 5G baseband chip.
A new leak from tipster UNknownZ21 has reconfirmed rumours of an iPhone 14-like design. The new iPhone SE 4 will also feature Action Button and USB-C port that we’re about to see on the upcoming iPhone 15 series. This could also be the first iPhone SE to feature an OLED display and Face ID system. However, Apple will stick to providing a single camera at the back.
It remains to be seen how the California company will control the price of the device if indeed it borrows hardware from its older siblings. The pricing of Face ID components and OLED panels was a major reason that made even the 3rd generation iPhone SE come with an iPhone 8-like design and LCD screen. For now, we expect four new iPhone models to launch next month itself, the iPhone 15, 15 Plus and iPhone 15 Pro, 15 Pro Max.
