iQOO Z12 Lite 5G specifications tipped, could feature MediaTek Dimensity 7400 and 8,000mAh battery

Highlights

With less than two months left in the year, smartphone brands are working hard to bring the next iteration of their current models. One such brand is iQOO, which could soon release the iQOO Z12 Lite 5G, the successor to the iQOO Z11 Lite 5G. As part of the upgrades, the phone could feature a better processor and a larger battery, positioning it as a mid-range smartphone with suitable performance and long-lasting endurance for everyday use.

iQOO Z12 Lite 5G specifications tipped

According to a report by PassionateGeekz.com, the iQOO Z12 Lite 5G could carry the model number I2603 and could be sold as iQOO Z12 SE 5G in several countries. Based on our assumption, the mid-range iQOO smartphone could retain the Z12 Lite 5G name in India since the brand has stuck to the ‘Lite’ moniker for the iQOO Z9 Lite, Z10 Lite, and Z11 Lite.

As an upgrade from the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 found on the outgoing model, the Z12 Lite could feature the Dimensity 7400 Turbo processor. This is the same chipset that runs the iQOO Z11x, which performed reliably for daily use without any stutters or slowdowns, as noted in our review. In terms of storage, the phone could offer 256GB and, surprisingly, run Android 16 with OriginOS 6 layered on top. With several new phones releasing with Android 17 out of the box after September, this could be a bummer for some.

iQOO Z11 Lite 5G for representation

The smartphone could run on an 8,000mAh battery, complemented by 33W fast charging. With high-capacity batteries becoming the norm across price ranges, the phone should offer excellent battery backup, given that the iQOO Z11x, with a smaller 7,200mAh battery, lasted two days straight on a single charge during our use.
