iQOO Z7 Pro has been officially launched in India as the latest Z-series offering and offers 5G network support. The handset has a premium design thanks to the curved edges, 66W fast charging support, a 120Hz AMOLED display, and more. The iQOO Z7 Pro is priced quite aggressively and the phone directly takes on the new Vivo V29e in the country. In this article, we compare the iQOO Z7 Pro and Vivo V29e to see which is a better buy under Rs 30,000.

iQOO Z7 Pro

• The iQOO Z7 Pro has a premium design, with curved edges on the front, a punch-hole cutout for the selfie snapper, and ultra-slim bezels.
• The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. 
• The SIM tray section, USB Type-C port, speaker grille, and primary microphone are at the bottom.
• The back of the phone is where the square module is present and this houses dual cameras, LED flash, and Aura light LED flash.
• The iQOO Z7 Pro will be available in Blue Lagoon and Graphite Matte colours.

Vivo V29e

• The Vivo V29e is equally good looking for the price. There is a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie shooter and slightly curved edges.
• The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge.
• The USB Type-C port, SIM tray, and speaker grill are at the bottom. There is a secondary microphone at the top for noise cancellation.
• On the back, we see dual circular rings to house two cameras and there's an LED flash. The portion below the circular module has a vertical stripe with a diamond cut and this offers a dual-tone design.

iQOO Z7 Pro vs Vivo V29e: price in India

• The iQOO Z7 Pro is priced at Rs 23,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 24,999 for the 8GB + 256GB variant. The handset will be available via Amazon and iQOO starting from September 5th. The company is offering a flat Rs 2,000 discount when paid through SBI and HDFC Bank cards and Rs 2,000 exchange bonus. 
• The Vivo V29e is priced at Rs 26,999 for the 8GB + 128GB model and Rs 28,999 for the 8GB + 256GB version. The company is offering a Rs 2,500 instant discount with HDFC Bank and SBI cards and Rs 2,000 additional exchange bonus.

Key takeaways

The iQOO Z7 Pro and Vivo V29e are equally good phones, with a 120Hz AMOLED display, 64MP primary camera, 16MP selfie shooter, and Android 13 OS out of the box. However, the iQOO phone takes the lead with regard to performance.

The MediaTek Dimensity 7200 5G chipset is quite powerful to take whatever you throw at it. The performance is blazing fast with no lags or stutters in the UI. The handset has managed to score 7,13,965 points on AnTuTu, which is quite impressive for a mid-range offering. On the other hand, the Snapdragon 695 on the Vivo V29e, though good, is a bit dated and is not as powerful as the iQOO counterpart.

However, Vivo takes back the lead with a large 50MP selfie shooter compared to the 16MP shooter on the iQOO phone. The selfies should be better and have better details and colours. There is also a large 5000mAh battery on the Vivo V29e although with 44W fast charging compared to 66W on the iQOO Z7 Pro.

So, if having a better selfie camera than performance is your preference, the Vivo V29e is a good choice. For the rest, the iQOO Z7 Pro is a perfect offering.
