Jio’s Canva offer: who gets what?
The new partnership gives eligible Jio users 12 months of Canva premium access at no extra cost, with the plan depending on their existing recharge. Users on the Rs 399 plan will get Canva Pro, while those on the Rs 349 plan and eligible 2GB/day plans priced above Rs 349 will receive Canva Pro Lite.
Both plans provide access to Canva’s premium templates, photos, videos and fonts, along with tools such as Background Remover, Magic Resize, Magic Eraser and print-ready exports. This gives users access to several of Canva’s premium design tools without having to pay separately for them.

The main difference comes with Canva Pro, which adds features for users who create content more regularly. It includes Content Planner, Canva AI, higher AI usage limits and a larger Brand Kit, while Pro Lite limits itself to the core design features with limited AI access (same as the free tier).
Jio says eligible users can claim the offer through the MyJio app by opening the Canva offer and activating it. The 12-month benefit will start rolling out from September 16, 2026, with no additional charge for the Canva subscription during the offer period.
Is the Jio Canva offer worth it?
The Canva partnership is not surprising and is a core part of Jio’s strategy. The brand continues to bundle popular third-party digital services with its mobile plans. Jio has already offered Google’s Gemini Pro to eligible users, and the addition of Canva gives subscribers another premium service without requiring a separate subscription.
For existing eligible Jio users, the Canva offer is a no-brainer. They can access premium design tools for a year at no additional cost, while users on lower-priced plans who regularly use Canva may also have a reason to consider moving to an eligible higher-tier recharge to access the benefit. The offer is especially relevant for students, creators and small businesses that already use Canva for their daily work.
We can also think of it as a means to retain its consumer base. Telecom operators have raised tariffs repeatedly in recent years, which has made subscribers more conscious of what they get for their monthly recharge. Bundling services such as Gemini and Canva gives Jio an additional way to add value to its plans and encourage users to stay within its ecosystem.
From Jio’s perspective, it is a relatively simple model: the company can make its higher-value plans more appealing without directly cutting recharge prices, while users get access to services they may otherwise have to pay for separately. For subscribers who can or actively use Canva’s premium tools, this is a valuable perk.
