Moto Edge 30 Ultra: expected specs

According to the teaser post, the Moto Edge 30 Ultra appears to feature a dual curved edge display, which measures 6.7 inches. Leaks and rumours have claimed that the display will offer 144Hz refresh rate, and would be a pOLED screen to boot. Other key expected specifications include the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 SoC from Qualcomm, and a fast charging standard that can offer 12 hours of usage with seven minutes of charging.

According to previous reports, this would be facilitated by a 4,620mAh battery with 125W fast charging speed, which is in line with modern smartphone standards. The front camera is also tipped to use a 60MP sensor, which could rank the Moto Edge 30 Ultra as one of the highest resolution selfie smartphones.

The device is among a rising crop of smartphones that are right now purported to come with 200MP rear cameras. Among other devices, the Samsung Galaxy S23 series that should be launched early next year is expected to feature such a sensor. Xiaomi’s upcoming premium phone, namely the Xiaomi 12T Pro, is expected to feature such a camera as well. Meanwhile, Moto itself launched the world’s first 200MP camera phone, the Moto X30 Pro, in China last month.

At the moment, it remains unclear if the Moto Edge 30 Ultra and the Moto X30 Pro could be similar devices, or be rebranded as per region. With the teasers coming in quick now, the Moto flagship should be seen in retail within the coming weeks.
