Vivo might change the naming convention for its V-series smartphones
According to a report by 91mobiles (Hindi), the upcoming addition to Vivo’s V-series might bear the name V40. Traditionally, Vivo assigns names to its V-series smartphones based on the next odd number in the series, as evident from the preceding models like the V21, V23, V25, V27, and V29. The only exceptions with an even number in the series are the V20 and the upcoming V30.
Vivo V40 launch timeline
Vivo V40 is expected to launch sometime between August and September 2024. Currently, there isn’t much information available regarding the device.

- Display: The smartphone could come with a 6.78-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2,800×1,260 pixels resolution, 20:9 aspect ratio, HDR10+, 120Hz refresh rate, 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, and up to 2,800 nits peak brightness.
