"The latest update for the Nokia flagship also brings the latest April 2019 Android security patch"
At the Mobile World Congress earlier this year, HMD Global surprised everyone with the launch of its Nokia 9 PureView (first impressions) flagship smartphone. The smartphone is headed towards India and if reports are to be believed, the Nokia 9 Pureview will land in the country by the end of this month. Before the Indian launch, HMD Global has rolled out a software update for the flagship, which improves the fingerprint sensor's performance and UI on the device.

The latest update for the five camera flagship is an Android 9 Pie build, bearing version number V4.22C. The update is being rolled out over-the-air and weighs 250.4MB in size. According to the changelog, the latest update brings the new Android Security Patch for April 2019 among other features. The changelog mentions improved system stability and user interface enhancements as well. Users have reported that the new software also updates the camera firmware, display panel firmware and the camera app. Reports suggest that after the update, the in-display fingerprint scanner is more responsive and display colours are better calibrated.
To recap on the specifications of Nokia 9 PureView, the handset comes with a 5.99-inch pOLED display with QHD+ resolution and HDR10 support. The handset is powered by last year's Snapdragon 845 processor, which is further accompanied by 6-gigs of RAM and 128GB storage. In the imaging department, the five-camera setup on the rear panel comprises of two 12-megapixel RGB sensors and three 12-megapixel monochrome sensors. As for selfies and video calling, the flagship offers a 20-megapixel single shooter on the front.
The smartphone is powered by a beefy 3,320mAh battery, which is accompanied by fast charging as well as wireless charging. On the software front, the flagship smartphone boots stock Android 9 Pie out of the box.
