HMD phones launch: what we know so far

Not much is known in terms of the specifications of the upcoming HMD phones, but they seem to resemble the old Nokia Lumia series, if the redesigning of the former Nokia website is anything to go by. HMD teased three phones in bright colours a few days ago, in variants of blue, green and pink. We’re assuming two of these are the HMD Legend and LegendPro, since they would be among the first batch of phones to arrive.

Leaks about the upcoming HMD phones have been sporadic. 91mobiles had earlier leaked a render of one of HMD’s first phones. Basis the image, the phone seemed like a lower mid-ranger with a plastic, matte back. Another leak couple of days later suggested the smartphone (or another from the first batch) could come with a 108MP OIS camera.  Tipster Evan Blass had also shared that the upcoming HMD phones were codenamed Pulse, Legend, Pulse+, Legend Plus, Pulse Pro and Legend Pro.

There could be as many as three smartphones launching in the first batch, while a total of nine have been certified by the IMEI. HMD has announced an event at the upcoming Mobile World Congress in Barcelona later this month, which might see an unveiling.
