Nokia, Tata Play Fiber deal details

Nokia has entered into an agreement with Tata Play Fiber to provide essential network equipment. This equipment comprises various Fiber-to-the-Home (FTTH) and WiFi devices, including Optical Line Terminal (OLT), Optical Network Terminal (ONT) with WiFi 6, and WiFi mesh beacons.

Tata Play Fiber’s CEO, Anand N Sahai, mentioned that implementing this cutting-edge optical networking solution will enhance speed and coverage for a wide range of smart devices in both homes and businesses reliant on technology.

Nokia‘s smart mesh WiFi 6 solution is designed to ensure high-speed internet access throughout homes, catering to multiple devices on the same network. About WiFi 6

WiFi 6 is a relatively recent WiFi technology, having been available for approximately four years. It has the potential to provide up to 9.6Gbps of connectivity, which is 40 percent faster than WiFi 5. But its advantages extend beyond faster internet speeds. WiFi 6 is more efficient, offering improved overall data transfer capacity and reduced latency.
