HMD reportedly teases the return of Nokia 3210 alongside Nokia 225 4G (2024) launch

HMD Global has recently unveiled some phones in Kenya. Besides debuting its self-branded HMD Pulse series, it seems to have launched the Nokia 225 4G (2024) and teased the Nokia 3210 (2024) launch. Unlike the HMD Pulse lineup, the latter two are 2024 iterations of once-popular Nokia feature phones. Nokia 225 4G had a 2020 variant while the Nokia 3210 would be returning after 25 years.

What the publication has shared however is a leaked poster or marketing slide showcasing the Nokia 3210. Take a look:

Nokia 3210 (2024) design and details

The poster/slide is titled: “Now 25 years later, the legendary phone is back.”
The newcomer is said to pay homage to the original Nokia 3210 that launched back on March 18, 1999.
It is said to have been rebuilt from the ground up with a modern design and retro interface. Weirdly enough, the new Nokia 3210 design given in the leaked image looks more like the Nokia 6310 2021. Yes, this design looks way more modern than the original Nokia 3210.

There is a new rear camera and a flash module. You get both the new Nokia logo and the HMD logo on the back.
Besides design, you can expect a longer battery life and newer connectivity options like Bluetooth, 4G, etc.
It also has the iconic Snake game.

Nokia 3210 (1999) specifications

Display: On the front, there was a 1.5-inch backlit monochrome graphic LCD screen with 84×48 pixel resolution and 64 PPI pixel density.
Dimensions: The phone’s dimensions were 123.8 mm x 50.5mm × 16.7-22.5 mm.
Weight: It weighed around 151 grams.
Ringtones: You not only got 40 monophonic ringtones in .nrt format, but you could also create custom tones using the Ringtone Composer feature.
Memory card: There was no support for an external memory card.
Games: There were 3 built-in games for your entertainment needs.
Battery life: 55–260 Hr standby time and 180-270 minutes talk time. It took about 4 hours to refill the device.
Miscellaneous: dual-band connectivity, optional vibrating alert, speed dialling internal antenna, green keypad backlight, and interchangeable fascia.
