After weeks of anticipation, OnePlus has finally unveiled its compact flagship, the OnePlus 15T, in its home market of China. The handset packs nearly the same punch as the standard OnePlus 15. Key OnePlus 15T specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, a massive 7,500mAh battery, a 50MP dual-rear camera setup, 50W wireless charging and 100W SuperVOOC wired charging. While the India launch hasn’t been confirmed yet, the handset is expected to arrive as the successor to the OnePlus 13s (review), potentially under the name OnePlus 15s.

OnePlus 15T specifications: compact and flagship-grade

The OnePlus 15T carries forward a familiar design language, closely mirroring its predecessor with flat edges and a squarish camera island. The module houses a dual-camera system, featuring a 50MP primary sensor paired with a 50MP 3.5x telephoto lens. OnePlus continues to ditch a more versatile camera setup for its compact flagship, with the absence of an ultrawide lens. That said, imaging isn’t the handset’s strongest suit.

The OnePlus 15T prioritises performance, making it just as capable as its elder and more pricier sibling, the OnePlus 15. At its core lies the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC, which the company claimed helped the smartphone score over 44,50,000 points on the AnTuTu benchmarking platform. The handset also features up to 16GB LPDDR5x Ultra Pro RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage.

The SoC is complemented by the company’s “E-Sports Triple-Core” architecture, a dedicated “Lingxi” touch response chip (translated from Chinese), and OnePlus’ in-house G2 Wi-Fi chip. The setup is claimed to boost fluency, responsiveness, and stable connectivity while playing fast-paced games such as BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile. To further improve gaming, the OnePlus 15T debuts with “Wind Chaser Gaming Kernel”, which is designed to fine-tune resource allocation and latency, helping the device deliver more stable frame rates.

The OnePlus 15T sports a capable display to back the gaming experience. It sports a centred punch-hole 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel, which bears up to 165Hz refresh rate and up to 1,800 nits peak brightness. Similar to the OnePlus 15, the 15T also supports a peak 165Hz refresh rate on a handful of mobile games. The screen is claimed to have received TUV Rheinland Smart Eye Protection 5.0 and Low Blue Light certifications. The punch-hole setup houses a 16MP snapper for selfies and video calling. The sensor is identical to its predecessor, OnePlus 13T.

To keep everything ticking, the OnePlus 15T packs a massive 7,500mAh battery, backed by 100W SuperVOOC wired charging and 50W wireless charging support. Notably, this marks the first time a compact OnePlus flagship has offered wireless charging, adding a layer of convenience to an otherwise endurance-focused setup. Given the sheer size of the battery, the inclusion of fast wireless top-ups should make day-to-day charging far less of a chore.

Despite the big battery, the OnePlus 15T weighs 194 grams and measures just 150.56×71.82×8.48mm in dimensions. Furthermore, the handset is IP66 + IP68 + IP69 + IP69K certified against water and dust, including high-pressure and temperature jets. Other features include Android 16-based ColorOS 16, an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, 5G, 4G LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer.

On paper, the OnePlus 15T shapes up as a compelling option for anyone seeking a compact flagship. It brings meaningful upgrades over its predecessor, particularly in performance and battery life, which strengthen its overall appeal. However, its limited availability outside China makes it hard to recommend it for now.
