OnePlus seems to be in no mood to slow down after kicking things off with the OnePlus 15 last month. While the OnePlus Ace 6T is nearing launch in China, leaks for yet another upcoming model, the OnePlus 15T, have started to appear. While the Ace 6T could be the sub-flagship focussing on performance and endurance, the 15T could be the next compact phone after OnePlus 13s, if leaks are anything to go by.
Early reports suggest a compact phone, but one that is still performance-oriented. A post from OnePlus Club on X states the phone will pack a 6.31-inch flat display with 165Hz refresh rate, symmetrical bezels, and the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, which is the same processor as the OnePlus 15. The battery is expected to remain in the 7,000mAh class like the OnePlus 15, and may even exceed it slightly. It also mentions a metal frame, IP68/69 water and dust resistance, and an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor. The camera setup remains a mystery, but given the restrained nature of T-series launches, it’s likely to be the differentiator from the flagship OnePlus 15.

For context, the OnePlus 15 comes with a 50MP triple camera setup, including a wide angle lens with OIS and a telephoto camera with 3.5x optical zoom and OIS. Meanwhile, the company’s current compact flagship, the OnePlus 13s, sports a dual 50MP camera setup with a main and a telephoto sensor that supports 2x optical zoom. Wireless charging is also missing on the compact model. The display size of the tipped OnePlus 15T is almost the same as the OnePlus 13s (6.32 inches), but the refresh rate of the latter tops at 120Hz. The OnePlus 15T could sport the same 3rd gen Oriental screen display from BOE that the OnePlus 15 has, which takes the refresh rate up to 165Hz, which essentially has been the company’s pitch this year. The 13s battery was also smaller at 5,850mAh, so that could be a huge upgrade there, much like the OnePlus 15 got. The durability also seems to be getter better, as the 13s was IP65-rated.
In terms of positioning, the OnePlus 15 already plays the role of an all-round flagship, while the Ace 6T could be a value-centric performance phone for users who want Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 power at a lower entry point. If the leaks are to be believed, the 15T seems to take the compact philosophy of the 13s. It could be the phone for those who care less about photography and more about smooth UI, fast frame rates and long battery runtime. Interestingly, the last T phone we saw from OnePlus was the OnePlus 10T in 2022. That time, we didn’t have a standard OnePlus 10, but saw a OnePlus 10 Pro instead, and the main differences between the 10T and 10 Pro lay in the camera setup and display.

For buyers, if cameras matter more, the OnePlus 15 may be the obvious choice. If pricing is important but performance can’t be compromised, it makes sense to wait for the Ace 6T, which could arrive globally as the OnePlus 15R, teasers for which are already live. If compact convenience matters, the 15T could be worth waiting for.
While there’s still no confirmed timeline for the OnePlus 15T launch, tipster Digital Chat Station previously pointed to early 2026. If that’s correct, OnePlus likely wants to give both the OnePlus 15 and the Ace 6T enough room to grow before adding another model to the lineup.
