OnePlus is reportedly working on a new Ace-series phone whose specs have leaked. Since the Ace 2 series is already out in China, this could be the OnePlus Ace 3 and its alleged specifications include a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, a 6.74-inch OLED display, a 50MP main camera, and 100W charging. Well, these are the rumoured specs of the OnePlus 12R too and so, they could both be the same device meant for different markets.
This is similar to the case of OnePlus 11R being a rebranded OnePlus Ace 2 for the global markets.
OnePlus Ace 3 specifications (expected)
- Display: As per tipster DCS, this upcoming OnePlus Ace 3 could come with a 6.74-inch OLED screen with curved edges, punch-hole, 120Hz refresh rate, 1.5K resolution, and PWM dimming support.
- Cameras: The main camera setup on the OnePlus Ace 3 or OnePlus 12R could be a 50MP Sony IMX890 sensor. This could be accompanied by an 8MP ultrawide OmniVision OV8D10 lens and a 32MP Sony IMX709 telephoto shooter with up to 2x optical zoom. The front camera could be a 16MP selfie snapper.
- Processor: This OnePlus phone is said to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset which is found in the current-gen OnePlus Ace 2 Pro as well.
- Memory: The innards of the OnePlus Ace 3 could consist of up to 16GB/24GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 512GB/1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.
- Battery: The phone could be relying on a 5,500mAh battery to stay on backed by a stupid-fast 100W charging support.
Moreover, the previously leaked specs of the OnePlus 12R suggest specs like an in-display fingerprint reader, Android 14 software, 5G, Wi-Fi ac, Bluetooth 5.2, USB-C, and NFC support. So, we could expect the OnePlus Ace 3 to get these connectivity options and features too, if it indeed is a rebranded device.
OnePlus Ace 3 launch timeline not yet certain
OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in China with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and a whopping 24GB RAM, a first from the company. We’re unsure if the company will give the same memory on the OnePlus Ace 3, or keep it exclusively for the series’ Pro variants.
Though the company is yet to specify a launch timeline for the OnePlus Ace 3, it’s being speculated the phone could be unveiled in late October or November.
