The OnePlus Pad tablet was launched in India back in February but was made available only in April. This was the brand’s first tablet. OnePlus is now apparently working on a new second tablet and this will be dubbed the OnePlus Pad Go. The name suggests the tablet could arrive as a cheaper version of the original model.
OnePlus Pad Go might launch soon
- Reliable tipster @1NormalUsername (via) has spotted a OnePlus tablet with model number OPD2304.
- The tipster shared the existence of the tablet through a post on OnePlus forums but it was deleted.
- The same device has also received the BIS (Bureau of Indian Standards) certification, which is mandatory for a device to debut in the country.
- The certification reveals the model number OP2305.
- The OPD2304 and OPD2305 appear to be two different variants of the device, probably one for Wi-Fi and the other for Wi-Fi + cellular.
- The BIS certification serves as a good indication that the tablet will be landing in India.
Separately, China’s radio certification platform approved an OPPO tablet with the model number OPD2301 in July. This tablet is believed to be the OPPO Pad Air 2, which is expected to debut along with the Find N3 in China soon. There are chances that this tablet could debut globally as the OnePlus Pad Go. As said, the OnePlus Pad Go might arrive as a cheaper version of the original OnePlus Pad that came with an 11.6-inch display, Dimensity 9200 SoC, and 67W fast charging support.
At the moment, there are no details regarding the OnePlus Pad Go but we should learn more details soon.
