OnePlus Ace 6T is making its debut this month as the first Snapdragon 8 Gen 5-powered phone. It’s going to be a performance-focused smartphone, as expressed by OnePlus, with key features borrowed from the flagship OnePlus 15. So far, OnePlus has been revealing specs about the Ace 6T, and now it has finally revealed the design. This reveal also further cements the speculation that the Ace 6T, and not the Ace 6, will launch as the OnePlus 15R globally.
OnePlus has released a series of images of the Ace 6T on its Weibo page. The OnePlus Ace 6T looks quite like the OnePlus 13s with the small camera module on the top-left corner. It’s slightly different from the OnePlus Ace 6 in China, which has a rectangular-shaped LED flash, whereas the one on the Ace 6T is circular, like the 13s. The rest of the design details include the AI Plus key on the left, the volume keys and the power button on the right. OnePlus Ace 6T will come in three colours: Purple, Green, and Black.

Now, coming to the indicator that the Ace 6T might be the OnePlus 15R globally, it is a small but interesting one. The teaser image shared by OnePlus for the 15R shows a faint design of the phone’s camera module. If you look closely, you’ll notice that it has the same circular LED flash as the Ace 6T’s leaked render. This might seem too far-fetched, but since the rumour is strong that the Ace 6T will launch as the 15R, it might just be the case. What’s interesting, though, is that historically, the Ace 6 would launch as the 15R, but there could be a change this time with the Ace 6T.

In terms of specs, the OnePlus Ace 6T is confirmed to feature the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, which is launching in China on November 26th. This chipset is based on the flagship Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 Elite and is said to deliver on-par performance. The Ace 6T will carry four IP ratings — IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K, the highest protection against dust and water, even high-pressure jets. It will also feature a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor and a 165Hz display with support for 165fps gaming, like the OnePlus 15.
OnePlus Ace 6T is claimed to offer “the longest battery life with an 8-series battery.” The OnePlus Ace 6 already packs a massive 7,800mAh battery, so bigger might mean an 8,000mAh unit. Fast charging has, however, been capped at 100W, which is slightly lower than the OnePlus 15’s 120W, but still one of the best you can get.
The OnePlus Ace 6T may remain exclusive to China if it doesn’t launch as the 15R globally. But if it does, then the phone is expected to be a popular pick in the flagship alternative segment. It’s expected to cost less than the OnePlus 15 but still offer most of its features. Cameras might not be great, though, as we can see only two sensors on the Ace 6T, so the telephoto might have been removed. This might be disappointing for buyers as the OnePlus 13R offers a telephoto lens, which helps in distant zoom shots. But for performance and gaming, the OnePlus Ace 6T, aka OnePlus 15R, should definitely be a good choice.
