OnePlus Buds Ace 3 debuts with up to 55dB ANC, 54 hours of battery life, and IP55 rating

OnePlus recently launched the Ace 6 Ultra gaming phone in China. It’s a phone made purely for gamers that even comes with a dedicated gaming controller. Alongside the Ace 6 Ultra, OnePlus also launched the Buds Ace 3 wireless earbuds in China. These are the brand’s latest premium TWS, offering up to 55dB ANC and a total of 54 hours of battery life. For now, the OnePlus Buds Ace 3 have been launched only in China. But we expect it to arrive in other markets, including India, as OnePlus has a wide portfolio of audio products here. The Ace series is exclusive to China, so the TWS could arrive under a different branding in India, like Nord.

OnePlus Buds Ace 3 specifications, features

The OnePlus Buds Ace 3 is equipped with a large 12mm large-amplitude dynamic driver, which OnePlus says is designed to deliver stronger bass and improved overall clarity. The wireless earbuds are also said to offer spatial audio effects for a surround sound-like experience. It features a 10-band EQ and BassWave dynamic bass enhancement as well. These features together should help enhance the overall listening experience and give enough control over different audio types.

The new OnePlus TWS offers up to 55dB Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), which is one of the highest you can get in this segment. Even the Realme Buds Air8, which is priced at Rs 3,799 in India, offers 55dB ANC support. This should ensure good noise cancellation in areas like public transport. It also gets real-time adaptive algorithms and a flagship-level voice noise reduction system. For calls, the OnePlus Buds Ace 3 features Sanmai AI call noise reduction with a triple-microphone setup and wind noise suppression.

OnePlus claims the Buds Ace 3 can deliver up to 54 hours of total battery life. The charging case has a 530mAh battery with 62mAh each in the earbuds. Without ANC, you should get around 13 hours of playback and 7 hours with ANC turned on. The Buds Ace 3 comes with an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance, making it possible for you to use them during workouts and in the rain.

For gaming, the OnePlus Buds Ace 3 is designed to offer up to 47ms of low latency, along with FPS sound effects to highlight footsteps, which should be beneficial in shooter games. The wireless earbuds come with touch controls for volume adjustment, play/pause, and AI translation in over 20 languages. It is equipped with Bluetooth 6.0 for connectivity, along with a Smart Bluetooth mode for improved range and stability, and dual-device pairing support.

With a price tag of around Rs 4,600, the OnePlus Buds Ace 3 is a solid option for those who want a premium TWS but without an expensive price tag. It’s designed for not just casual use but for gaming as well. It offers good ANC support and control over the audio output. If you own a budget TWS, consider upgrading if you want better ANC and longer battery life.
