- The OnePlus Buds Z2 design is based on real-life images
- The TWS earbuds look almost identical to the original OnePlus Buds Z
- The OnePlus Buds Z2 are expected to launch in October
After an impressive outing with the OnePlus Buds Z and OnePlus Buds Pro, the company is apparently working on the former’s successor, named the OnePlus BudsZ 2. These will be the brand’s next affordable TWS earbuds. 91mobiles has exclusively gathered the renders of OnePlus Buds Z2 courtesy of OnLeaks aka Steve Hemmerstoffer. These are based on real-life pictures, meaning the images we’re looking at should be the final design. The OnePlus Buds Z2 design is almost identical to that of Buds Z except for slightly angled ear tips. Even the charging case is similar to that of the predecessor.
OnePlus BudsZ 2 design
As we mentioned, the OnePlus Buds Z2 design is almost similar to the original Buds Z, meaning the earbuds have sizeable stems. The ear tips are slightly angled for a better fit though. The TWS earbuds have an in-ear style design with silicone ear tips. The OnePlus Buds Z2 have multiple cutouts on each earbud, probably for sensors for auto wear detection and possibly noise isolation as well.
The charging case has a USB Type-C port for charging and the cutout for that is slightly less wide compared to the current OnePlus Buds Z. There’s the OnePlus logo on top of the case. The TWS earbuds can be seen in a white colour option, but we can speculate there will be other hues at launch.
OnePlus BudsZ 2 launch timeline
In addition to revealing the renders, we were also able to learn the OnePlus Buds Z2 will launch in October. This falls in line with earlier reports that suggested that OnePlus will launch a few audio accessories next month. We can speculate these might go official in India alongside the OnePlus 9 RT, which is rumoured to launch in October. Unfortunately, the technical details of the OnePlus BudsZ 2 are kept under wraps, for now.
