OnePlus Nord CE4 vs POCO X6 Pro: design

OnePlus Nord CE4

OnePlus Nord CE4 has familiar design language with a centre-positioned punch-hole cutout at the front and narrow bezels. The rear panel has a smooth, glass-like feel even though it is technically plastic. The back panel also sees a vertical pill-shaped camera module, which houses two camera sensors and an LED flash.

The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge. The USB Type-C port, SIM tray section, primary microphone, and speaker vents are at the bottom. There is a secondary microphone and an IR blaster on the top.

POCO X6 Pro

The POCO X6 Pro has a centre-positioned punch-hole, flat edges, and narrow bezels. We see a large rectangular module on the back panel and this houses triple cameras and an LED flash. This module takes up the entire top portion of the rear and offers a dual-tone design. The volume rocker and power button are on the right edge.

The yellow-coloured version has a vegan leather back, while the other models have a glastic back. The POCO X6 Pro can be purchased in Spectre Black, Racing Grey and POCO Yellow colours.

OnePlus Nord CE4 vs POCO X6 Pro: display

OnePlus Nord CE4 sports a 6.7-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with 2412×1080 pixels resolution, 93.40 percent screen-to-body ratio, 20.1:9, 120Hz refresh rate, up to 1100 nits peak brightness, 10-bit colour depth, HDR10+ and Amazon Prime Video HDR.

On the other hand, the POCO X6 Pro flaunts a 6.67-inch 1.5K 12-bit OLED display with 2712 x 1220 pixels resolution, 20:9 display, a 120Hz refresh rate, 1920Hz instant touch sampling rate, up to 1800 nits peak brightness, HDR10+, and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection.

OnePlus Nord CE4 vs POCO X6 Pro: performance

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC powering the OnePlus Nord CE4 delivers decent benchmark scores. It scored over 8 lakh on AnTuTu, which is higher compared to what the Realme 12 Pro Plus and Nothing Phone (2a) managed. However, the MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra powering the POCO X6 Pro blows the competition out of the park with an AnTuTu score of over 13 lakh.

While the Nord CE4 comes with 8GB LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB/256GB UFS 3.1 storage. the POCO X6 Pro is available with up to 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB/512GB UFS 4.0 storage.

OnePlus Nord CE4 vs POCO X6 Pro: cameras

The OnePlus Nord CE4 is equipped with dual cameras on the back, with a 50MP Sony LYT-600 primary camera with OIS, an LED flash and an 8MP Sony IMX355 ultra-wide-angle lens. We get a 16MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.

The POCO X6 Pro features a 64MP rear camera with OIS + EIS and LED flash, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens with f/2.2 aperture, and a 2MP macro camera with f/2.4 aperture. There is a 16MP front-facing camera for selfies and video chats.

OnePlus Nord CE4 vs POCO X6 Pro: battery, software

The OnePlus Nord CE4 packs a 5,500mAh battery with 100W fast charging support. This means the device can charge from 0 to 100 percent in just under 35 minutes. In comparison, the 67W charger bundled in the POCO X6 Pro’s box charges the device’s 5,000mAh battery in about 45 minutes.

The OnePlus phone runs on Android 14-based OxygenOS 14 custom skin out of the box, which is fairly stock and clean in comparison to the HyperOS skin on the POCO X6 Pro. However, OnePlus is only offering 2 years of major software updates while the POCO X6 Pro will get 3 years of updates.

Verdict

The POCO X6 Pro’s MediaTek Dimensity 8300-Ultra is a solid performer and beats the Nord CE4 in terms of benchmarks and day-to-day performance. The POCO phone will also get an additional year of software updates and it gets a brighter 1800 nits display compared to the Nord CE4.

That said, the OnePlus Nord CE4 charges faster thanks to 100W support onboard, a larger battery, and a cleaner Android UI. If these features matter to you, the Nord CE4 should be the one to buy. The POCO X6 Pro should be your pick if you desire performance over everything else.
