The highly-anticipated OnePlus TVs have officially been launched in India - instead of one, the company launched two TV models at the event. OnePlus took the wraps off the TVs, which are called OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro, alongside the OnePlus 7T smartphone at its event in India. Both the television models are premium smart TVs that come pre-loaded with Android TV 9.0 OS with a custom UI. The TVs are touted to offer most holistic smart experience with 55-inch border-less QLED panels, 50W speakers, and Oxygen Play for personalised VOD content. The OnePlus TV Q1 Pro also boasts of a sliding speaker that protrudes from the bottom of the frame when the TV is switched on.

The OnePlus TV Q1 and OnePlus TV Q1 Pro both flaunt an almost similar specs sheet. The only difference is that the Pro model has sliding soundbar and eight speakers instead of four. The smart TVs come clad in a carbon fibre pattern back panel with 55-inch border-less display and matte finish. The screen has QLED display, 4K resolution, dynamic contrast ratio, Dolby Vision, and "by far the highest" 120 percent NTSC colour gamut. The 50W speakers on both models are fine-tuned by Dolby Atmos for a holistic sound experience.
The OnePlus TV Q1 series rocks Gamma Colour Magic chipset, which is said to enable a wider colour gamut on the TV's screen, and MediaTek MT6750 chipset ticking at its core. The TVs run the Android TV platform and support Google Assistant, Chromecast, Google Play app store, YouTube, and Zee5 apps. Of course, users will be able to access streaming services such as Amazon Prime Video, VOOT, Eros Now, etc, while Netflix will be made available later this year. Hotstar is available on the TV, but its content won't be recommended on the OxygenPlay carousel. The connectivity options of the OnePlus TVs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, HDMI, and USB.
As far as the Oxygen Play is concerned, the company claims that it'll solve the pain points of VOD services on current TV products, such as redundant, fragmented, and irrelevant content on the home page. While playing games, you can ask Google Assistant to pause the game using voice commands. If you get a call while watching TV, the OnePlus TV will automatically lower the volume; the volume be turned back up if you do not take the call. Users will get software support for three years, the company said.

The OnePlus TV Q1 series is accompanied by a compact remote that has a rechargeable battery. There is a OnePlus Connect app that allows users to use their smartphone to navigate the TV, Wi-Fi sharing, capture screenshots, etc.
