- OnePlus Z is expected to launch in July with an affordable price tag
- OnePlus Z price is said to be around GBP 400 (approx Rs 37,500)
- The smartphone is said to come with the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset and punch-hole display
OnePlus Z (previously referred to as OnePlus 8 Lite) smartphone was expected to launch with the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro, but that did not happen. It is expected to be an affordable smartphone powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 chipset and a punch-hole display. 91mobiles exclusively reported back in March that The OnePlus 8 Lite aka OnePlus Z would launch in July, and this is now once again teased by tipster Max J. A teaser image of sorts shows an outline of the OnePlus Z with a centered punch-hole display and the words July 2020 written across.
OnePlus Z specifications and expected price
The OnePlus Z is expected to sport a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate and a center-aligned punch-hole cutout to house the selfie camera. It is tipped to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 1000 5G SoC coupled with 8GB RAM and either 128GB/ 256GB internal storage. The handset should run on Android 10 with OxygenOS custom skin on top. As for the optics, the OnePlus Z may come with triple cameras consisting of a 48MP primary sensor, a 16MP secondary lens, and a 12MP unit. It is expected to pack a 4,000mAh battery with 30T Warp fast-charging support and an in-display fingerprint sensor for security. However, details regarding the selfie camera are a mystery for now. Connectivity features could include 5G, 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a USB Type-C port.
As for the OnePlus Z price, it is said to cost around GBP 400 (approx Rs 37,500), but then again given how the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro are priced relatively lower in India when compared to other markets, the OnePlus Z should come with an aggressive pricing in the country as well. Since the launch is still a couple of months away, we should learn more information going forward.
