OPPO A55 5G price and specifications have been revealed by the company as the phone goes official in China. It is the latest A-series phone and it comes with 5G SA (Standalone Access)/NSA (Non-Standalone Access) modes. The OPPO A55 5G has a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, a rectangular camera module at the back that houses triple sensors, a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security, and multiple colour options. Key OPPO A55 5G specifications include the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC, 13MP primary camera, Android 11 OS, a 6.5-inch HD+ display, and 128GB expandable storage.

The OPPO A55 5G price is at RMB 1,599 (around Rs 18,000) for the lone 6GB RAM + 128GB storage option. The phone comes in Brisk Blue and Rhythm Black colour options and is already available for purchase.

The OPPO A55 5G sports a 6.5-inch HD+ display with 720 x 1600 pixels, standard 60Hz refresh rate, a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera, 88.7 per cent screen-to-body ratio, a 71 per cent NTSC colour gamut, and 480nits peak brightness. The device is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 700 SoC paired with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card up to 1TB. The phone runs on Android 11-based on ColorOS 11 custom skin out of the box. The handset measures 163.9×75.7×8.4mm and weighs 186 grams. OPPO A55 packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports standard 10W charging. The phone also comes with a physical fingerprint sensor on the side for security.

As for the optics, the OPPO A55 5G has a triple camera setup on the back with a 13MP (f/2.2 aperture) primary sensor with an LED flash, a 2MP Macro Lens (f/2.4 aperture), and a 2MP (f/2.4 aperture) depth unit for portrait shots. Rear camera features include Night Scene, Pro mode, panorama, portrait, time-lapse, slow motion, super text, ultra-clear, and support for up to 10x digital zoom. The phone comes with an 8MP snapper on the front for video calls and selfies. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G VoLTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.1, GPS and USB Type-C for charging and data transfers.
