OPPO tipped to announce free battery replacement programme soon: here’s how it will work

OPPO battery replacement programme announced

• Tipster DigitalChatStation on Weibo claimed that OPPO will soon introduce the battery replacement initiative.
• Under this programme, the company is expected to offer free battery replacements within a four-year timeframe, and the OPPO A2 Pro 5G is rumoured to be the first model to benefit from the programme. 
• Another tipster Whylab corroborates this rumour, and says that this is applicable only if the battery health percentage drops below 80 percent within the duration.

OPPO A2 Pro specifications (expected)

The OPPO A2 Pro has been a part of the rumour mill for quite some time now. The handset earlier appeared on the China Telecom website and TENAA.

• Display: The OPPO A2 Pro 5G is tipped to come with a 6.7-inch full-HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
• Processor: The handset is rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7050 SoC.
• RAM and Storage: 8GB + 256GB, 12GB + 256GB, and 12GB + 512GB RAM and storage options.
• OS: Android 13-based ColorOS 13.1 custom skin out of the box.
• Cameras: The OPPO A2 Pro is expected to feature a triple rear camera setup, with a 64MP primary sensor. Details regarding other sensors are unknown at the moment.
• Front camera: There could be an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and video chats.
• Battery: The phone could house a 5,000mAh battery with fast charging support.
