OPPO K15 Pro series launch has officially been confirmed at its home ground, China. The handset will debut on April 1st without fooling anyone. It’s also said that the OEM might also introduce accessories, OPPO Enco Clip 2 and Watch X3 Mini, which it has been teasing actively, alongside the smartphones. Not much has been confirmed about the OPPO K15 Pro series specifications, but if rumours are anything to go by, there will be two models on offer.
OPPO K15 Pro series design and expected specifications
The teaser confirms the OPPO K15 Pro series in white colourway, with flat edges and a squarish camera platform – housing dual cameras and a blue oval-shaped ring. This is in line with previous leaks and rumours, volume rocker, power button, air vent, and an indent on the right spine of the smartphone.

The upcoming handsets will succeed last year’s OPPO K13 Turbo (review) and K13 Turbo Pro (review), which debuted in India in August as gaming-focused smartphones. Those were pretty promising offerings, competitively priced as well. While the pricing of the K15 Pro series remains under wraps, the lineup appears set to continue the brand’s strategy of targeting power users.
The exact model names remain unconfirmed, but the standard OPPO K15 Pro variant is likely to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset under the hood. Furthermore, it could reportedly sport a 6.59-inch 1.5K flat OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The handset may house a massive 7,500mAh battery in a relatively slim form factor, which is said to measure 8.3mm in thickness and weight 197grams. The secondary model in the K15 Pro lineup may boast a slightly larger 6.78-inch display with an identical resolution and refresh rate as its younger sibling.
The handset will reportedly be powered by a more powerful Dimensity 9500s SoC, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. The smartphone could boast a metal frame and an 8,000mAh battery. If true, it will be the largest battery capacity in an OPPO smartphone. Moreover, it is tipped to come with a thickness of 8.33mm and a weight of 213g.

The smartphones are likely to share similarities in cameras with 50MP + 8MP dual rear cameras and a 16MP front-facing camera. Similar to its predecessors, the OPPO K15 Pro series is likely to sport an active cooling fan to keep the thermals in check. However, we hope the handsets don’t compromise on dust resistance rating, which was one of the drawbacks of last year’s K13 Turbo Pro series.
That’s all the information we have about the smartphones for now. OPPO is expected to reveal more details about the OPPO K15 Pro series in the build-up to the launch event, so stay tuned. As for India, the handsets may take some time to arrive. If you’re not keen on waiting, there are plenty of alternatives already available for gaming, including the POCO X8 series and the iQOO 15R (review). The POCO X8 Pro Max, in fact, features the same MediaTek Dimensity 9500s SoC as the upcoming K15 Pro series. The handset also boasts a massive 9,000mAh battery, with advanced vapour chamber cooling system to keep the thermals in check.
