We have been receiving rumours and leaks surrounding OPPO‘s first-ever tablet, the OPPO Pad, for quite some time now. The OPPO Pad is said to launch in China this month and is reportedly going to sport a Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor. While there’s been no official confirmation when it comes to the OPPO Pad launch in India, 91mobiles has learned exclusively from tipster Mukul Sharma (@stufflistings) that the OPPO Pad will indeed release in the country. OPPO Pad to launch in India next year
As per the information that we have received, OPPO is gearing up for the launch of its tablet(s) in India as well. The brand is currently planning to launch its first tablet in India in the first half of 2022. Sharma has not explicitly confirmed to us as to whether it would be the same tablet that’s supposedly going to launch soon in China or will it be a different model, but we can expect the brand to launch the pilot tablet to start things out with. We can, therefore, expect OPPO to introduce its first-ever tablet sometime in H1 2022.
OPPO Pad specifications
Coming to the specifications, the OPPO Pad is said to be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 processor, which will reportedly be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard memory. The tablet is said to run ColorOS 12-based Android 12 OS out of the box. A 120Hz refresh rate IPS LCD panel is said to be used on the OPPO Pad. In terms of optics, the OPPO Pad is tipped to flaunt a 13MP primary camera and an 8MP selfie shooter. As far as pricing goes, rumour has it that the OPPO Pad price will be around CNY 2,000 or somewhere around Rs 23,000.
