The mid-range OPPO Reno series has been refreshed in China with the launch of OPPO Reno 4 and OPPO Reno 4 Pro. The two smartphones are the successor to Reno 3 series, which was launched last December in China and later in India. The all-new OPPO Reno 4 series ships with the same 5G chipset and punch-hole display as its predecessor. The handsets tout new ‘Reno Glow’ design, which is claimed to be resistant to scratches. The rear cameras of both Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro have been downgraded to triple cameras instead of quad. Other key highlights include a curved screen, in-display fingerprint scanner, up to 12GB of RAM, and 65W fast charging tech.
OPPO Reno 4, Reno 4 Pro price and availability
The OPPO Reno 4 8GB + 128GB model price in China is set at CNY 2,999 (approx Rs 32,000). The 8GB + 256GB variant costs CNY 3,299 (approx Rs 35,000). Meanwhile, the Reno 4 Pro 8GB + 128GB price is set at CNY 3,799 (approx Rs 40,500) while the 12GB + 256GB model costs CNY 4,299 (approx Rs 45,800). The handsets go on sale starting June 12th in China.
OPPO Reno 4, Reno 4 Pro specifications
The OPPO Reno 4 and OPPO Reno 4 Pro have almost similar specifications. Both phones are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G chipset that has 5G modem integrated and is paired with up to 12GB of RAM. The OPPO Reno 4 Pro has slightly bigger form factor, owing to 6.5-inch AMOLED display, compared to the vanilla OPPO Reno 4 – which packs a 6.4-inch screen. Notably, the Pro variant comes with a 90Hz refresh rate as well. The displays are backed by Full-HD+ resolution, narrow bezels, in-display fingerprint scanner, and a punch-hole cutout design is there for the selfie camera.
Talking about the cameras, OPPO Reno 4 and Reno 4 Pro both ship with 48MP triple rear cameras. The OPPO Reno 4 Pro camera setup includes a 48MP primary sensor, a 12MP secondary lens, and a 13MP telephoto sensor. On the other hand, the Reno 4 ships with 48MP + 12MP + 2MP sensors. While the Reno 4 Pro sports a single 32MP selfie camera on the front, the regular model has 32MP main selfie camera assisted by 2MP secondary shooter. A 4,020mAh battery fuels the regular variant while the Pro variant houses a 4,000mAh battery. Both phones support an impressive 65W fast charging tech. On software side, you will be treated to Android 10-based ColorOS 7.2.
