Oukitel has announced the launch of its WP21 smartphone, which among other things, is a rugged phone that won’t let you feel the pinch of being low on battery. This incredibly well-built smartphone carries inside it a 9,800mAh power unit but disappointingly runs on a 4G chipset – the 6nm MediaTek Helio G99. It comes with 66W charging support for juicing up that big battery.
Oukitel WP21 specifications
The Oukitel WP21 has grabbed both IP68 and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance. Additionally, the device has also received the MIL-STD-810H certification, which allows it to work perfectly fine in all kinds of extreme weather conditions. All this, however, means that the phone loses a lot of points in the slimness and lightness department, as it measures 14.8mm thick and weighs 398 grams.
The Oukitel WP21 has been equipped with dual screens. Its main display is a 6.78-inch panel with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The second display has been placed on its rear surface and is a small always-on screen that can show you crucial information like the time of the day, notifications, music controls, and more. It can also double up as a camera viewfinder, allowing you to capture selfies using the rear cameras.
Speaking about the cameras, the rear surface is adorned with a 64MP main camera bearing a Sony IMX 686 sensor. There’s even a 20MP night vision camera and a 2MP macro snapper present. A 13MP front camera has also made its way into the Oukitel WP21.
But the limelight is certainly being hogged by its 9,800mAh battery, which promises a whopping 68.5 hours of talk time, 12 hours of video viewing time, and 35 hours of music listening time. You can even use this battery to charge other devices with an OTG cable. This phone’s MediaTek Helio G99 processor is paired with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage which is expandable via its microSD slot.
