POCO M2 has been launched in India as a new budget offering that slots just below the POCO M2 Pro that was announced in the country back in July. The POCO M2 is officially the most affordable phone from the brand yet and it competes with the likes of the Realme Narzo 10. The handset touts a waterdrop notch display with an FHD+ resolution and vertical quad cameras at the back. POCO M2 price in India and sale date
POCO M2 price in India is set at Rs 10,999 for the base model with 6GB RAM and 64GB internal storage and Rs 12,499 for the 6GB + 128GB variant. The handset will be available in Pitch Black, Slate Blue, and Brick Red colour options. The first sale of the POCO M2 is on September 15th at 12 PM on Flipkart.
POCO M2 specifications
POCO M2 sports a 6.53-inch FHD+ display with a waterdrop notch for the selfie camera and Corning Gorilla Glass layer. It is powered by the MediaTek Helio G80 SoC coupled with 6GB RAM and up to 128GB storage that is further expandable via a microSD card slot. The handset runs on Android 10 OS with MIUI 12 and POCO launcher on top. Connectivity features include 4G LTE, Dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, IR Blaster, GPS, and USB Type-C port for charging and data sync. The phone also gets a P2i coating for splash resistance.
As for the optics, the POCO M2 packs a quad-camera setup at the back that includes a 13MP primary camera, an 8MP wide-angle lens, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP depth sensor. On the front, it has an 8MP camera for selfies and video chats. It has a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor for security. The phone packs a 5,000mAh battery and supports 18W fast charging.
