Highlights
  • Realme could announce its 100W+ fast charging technology this month
  • Realme presently offers up to 65W fast charging solution
  • The 100W+ fast charging technology could be called “Ultra Dart”

Realme could announce its 100W+ fast charging solution later this month, tipster Ishan Agarwal said on Thursday. To recall, the company already offers 65W SuperDart fast charging technology on phones like the Realme X50 Pro 5G. The company is now aiming to cross the 100W barrier in fast charging soon, and the technology could be called “Ultra Dart”. From what we understand, the technology could deliver up to 120W charging speed and will be able to charge a third of a 4,000mAh battery capacity in just three minutes.

While we expect Realme to reveal this blazing fast charging solution in July, it may be commercially seen on a Realme phone only later this year. Realme seems to be following in the footsteps of Xiaomi as the latter is also working on a phone that supports 100W fast charging. Xiaomi showcased its fast charging technology last year in March where it claimed that it can fully charge a 4,000mAh battery from zero to 100 percent in just 17 minutes.

There is no word yet on which future Realme phone will get this 100W+ fast charging support, but we expect it to be a flagship device, possible in the Realme X-series. The Realme X50 Pro 5G, to recall, comes with a 65W fast charging support and can fully charge in about 30-35 minutes. Much like Realme, OPPO also offers 65W fast charging solution, recently seen on the OPPO Find X2 series.
